China's Economic Information Agency released the annual report on the development of China's smart cities from 2014 to 2015 in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, on the 18th, expatiating on the considerable development of China's smart city construction from 2014 to 2015.
Since 2014, our government has attached great importance to the wisdom development of cities. From January 2014 to October 2015, 26 policy documents on wisdom cities have been formulated and issued by various ministries and commissions.
Under the strong impetus of the national policy, the three economic zones around the Bohai Sea, the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta, as well as the economic circle of Chengdu and Chongqing, the urban agglomeration of Wuhan, the ecological economic zone of Poyang Lake, the economic circle of Guanzhong-Tianshui and other central and western regions have shown a good development trend.
In the future, China's smart city construction will pay more attention to people-oriented, the service function of smart city will become more diversified, government-enterprise cooperation will gradually replace government investment as the main, and smart logistics, smart tourism, smart medical and other areas of wisdom construction will also achieve breakthroughs.
Zhou Guohong, editor-in-chief of the annual report and director of Jiangsu Center of China Economic Information Agency of Xinhua News Agency, said that while China's smart city construction has made positive progress, there are also problems such as design limitation, information fragmentation, hollow construction and security vulnerability, which need to be strengthened.
"China's smart city construction will gradually abandon the"1.0 mode"of single module and closed mode, and move towards the"2.0 mode"characterized by"demand-oriented, goal-driven, data fusion, information sharing and business collaboration". Zhou Guohong said.
Nantong is one of the pioneer cities in the construction of smart cities in China. It is a national smart city pilot and a green smart city pilot in Central Europe. In recent years, relying on the basic advantages and focusing on the overall development, Nantong has built six smart plates of economy, humanities, governance, transportation, environmental protection and life, and constructed a sample of "Smart City 2.0" construction in Nantong.
The annual report is compiled and published by China Economic and Social Council on the basis of empirical research and data analysis, relying on the global information collection network of national news agencies covering 31 provinces, municipalities and more than 180 countries and regions overseas.
